Frequently asked questions.

Q: How do I become a member?

StoneLoads.com accounts are reserved for stone suppliers (i.e. quarries and fabricators) and their buyers (i.e. distributors of natural stone, retail landscape yards, and building material distributors).

It’s completely free to create an account. If you’d like to get started, click here to apply for your free account.

Q: Can I browse products on StoneLoads without an account?

Without an account, you will not have access to all the information shared with account holders. We do this to strengthen the supply chain and onfrastructure to bring stone to market. If you’d like to apply for a free account, click here to apply.

Q: Is it free to join StoneLoads?

YES! It’s completely free to have an account on either side.

Buyers pay only for the stone they purchase.

On the supplier side, StoneLoads collects a small percentage of the load value from the seller after a load is purchased. This model is similar to popular marketplaces like eBay and Etsy.

Q: How is freight handled?

Buyers manage all shipping with one of two options: Either request a quote and purchase freight through our platform or handle it yourself with a third party. Freight quotes are available on each individual load page and can be added to your order during the purchase process.

If you choose to arrange your own freight, all information needed for a carrier to quote your load is provided in the load detail and in the BOL generated when you purchase a load. Yard location, contact, and shipping hours are all conveniently in one place.

Pickups for either option must take place within 14 days of purchase.

Q: What industry associations are StoneLoads involved with?

StoneLoads is a proud partner of the Natural Stone Institute.

This partnership helps us further educate and equip both natural stone quarries and fabricators, as well as distributors and retail stone sales locations. It means we can all rely on a consistent source of education and standards to uphold the value and integrity of natural stone while strengthening and growing market share for natural stone in the building stone and hardscape markets.
